What is Relevant?
Relevant is the student ministry of Grace Community Church. We are focused on helping 6th-12th grade students experience community and take steps in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Life as a student can be a lot to deal with. Trying to find purpose, meaning, and hope while simultaneously battling insecurity is exhausting. Searching for answers within yourself or the world around you doesn’t work, so where do you go? The truth is that you were created to be in relationship with God and with others. This is where we come in.
Relevant exists to help you move towards meaningful community and find the peace that is available to you through Jesus. Each week you’ll have the chance to build connections as you play games, worship God through music, hear Biblical and relatable messages, and spend time in small groups. Life as a student can be a lot to deal with, but you don’t have to deal with it alone- come join us.
Relevant meets every Wednesday night during the school year, and has special camp experiences over the summer.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Our weekly gathering is split Middle School (6PM-7:30PM) and High School (7:30-9PM)

What to expect: large group
Large group is a time of games, songs, and a message to help students meet with God and know Him better. We start the night with a group game to help students break the ice, get to know one another, laugh, and celebrate. Following this we go into a worship and praise time that is meant to help direct our hearts toward God. Lastly, we have a message delivered by someone on our staff team with the focus of helping students identify next steps to take in their relationship with Jesus. This large group time lasts about an hour. Immediately following large group, students go to their small groups.
What to expect: small group
Small group is a time for students to discuss, grow, and begin to apply next steps in their relationship with Jesus based on the message they heard in large group. Small group gives the opportunity for students to connect with friends of the same grade and gender and adult mentors each week. Through consistent group and leaders, students will be able to process questions and thoughts they have about anything going on in their life, and have people loving them, guiding them, and holding them accountable.
Register for Small Group
One of the most important things we do at Relevant is small group. In large group we teach, in small group we apply. It is a time for growth, fun, and intentional relationships.
